42 LCD TV
42-Inch LCD TV Review
When I was growing up, there was a time that anything larger was a console and the regular television size was 19 inch. A 42-Inch LCD TV would have seemed huge to us back then. Today this size generally gets relegated to bedroom sets and they look small in the average room.
Actually to replace a 32-inch tube set that went out, I tried a 42-Inch LCD TV in my living room. As it sound, that’s amazing we ended up replacing it with a 56-inch that works nicely and the larger set looked smaller in that room. Back when I was a boy, this is only something you might have seen at a millionaires home, a set as large as I had would have been. Today, to see this size and larger in homes is commonplace, where people have average incomes.
A 42-Inch LCD TV can easily be moved about by anyone with average strength and is fairly manageable, so that makes it an ideal choice for sets for bedrooms. A set of this size fills in nicely because most spare rooms are smaller.
In order to give stereo separation and good sound in a smaller room, the amplifier in a 42-Inch LCD TV is large enough and there are even inputs that will allow you to add an HDMI device like a Blue Ray, DVD or cable box or Satellite receiver making it a great place for company when they come to visit to relax away from your family.
To help you take in to consideration the overall size of your room, there are many calculators out there and come up with the size of television that will bet suit your area. It is possible to get both too large and too small of a size, believe it or not, for any particular room. So larger is not always the better choice.
Of course, if you are unsure of what to buy a 42 LCD TV, then it is a good and common all around choice since it will fit a rather large amount of different sized rooms. Also thisĀ will work fairly well in just about any but the largest of them. So if you are need to err on the side of caution while shopping , this size might be the safest choice. Unless you are going to be setting only a few inches away, a 35-inch is most always too small and anything larger than a 50 is too big for most every room other than an average to large living room setting.
So you can usually be fairly safe on purchasing a 42 LCD TV, while there is no hard fast right or wrong answer, and knowing that it will fit and even if it is a large or little small for one room, sure it will fit nicely somewhere in your home.
