How Do I Convert Songs In My Itunes Library From Apple’s Lossless Format To Mp3?

September 20th, 2009 Posted in FAQ

I imported songs from my CDs to my iTunes library using Apple’s lossless format. Can I now transfer these songs to my iPod in MP3 format? This would save space on my iPod and enable me to transfer more of my songs. I have a 30 gb video iPod. I would like to keep my library in the lossless format so I can play songs directly from my computer in the highest fidelity possible.

In iTunes menu, go to edit-preferences-advanced-importing- and change (if not already) import using to mp3 encoder. Then got to your library and highlite all songs you want to convert, and then right click, then click “convert to mp3 format”! :)
