How Good Are The Video Recorders That Use Sd Cards Compared To The Ones That Use Hard Drive Or Dvd?
September 3rd, 2009 Posted in Video Recorders
I think I would prefer the function and ease of the SD card models they seem lighter and easier to get the info on your computer than to a dvd also they are considerably cheaper but is the video shakey and twitchy like a web cam or is it smooth like a regular camera and if they are nay good can any one recomend a good one

DVD based camcorders provide the WORST quality video of the consumer camcorder storage available.
Hard drive and flash memory capture better than DVD based camcorders.
Best available video continues to be from miniDV tape based camcorders because DV and HDV format compresses the least.
Video compression = discarded data = reduced video quality.
